Day at Tel Aviv!

We love the Mediterranean Sea! Kira, Me, Caitlin, Amie
So this is our group of people who went to Tel Aviv with us last Wednesday. It was such an awesome day! We frolicked at the beach for a while and swam in the wonderfully warm and clear water of the sea. Then we walked around the town, got lunch, and then watched the sunset. What could be better? And yes, don't worry, we do take classes here, even though it looks like all we do is play!
Kira and I walking around the city of Tel Aviv. It's a lot cleaner and nicer than Jerusalem. But it's still foreign and touristy!
Our group as we watched the sunset, talked, and ate gelato. Sounds like a perfect day to me! It was so fun!

Today we walked around the Old City. Here, they brought stones up from the Roman times and made the streets out of them. So the big stones are from ROMAN times! Crazy, huh?
Amie and me at the Western Wall. It wasn't too crowded today, which was good, but it's still a cool place. Behind us and to the right is the pathway up to the Temple Mount (the scaffolding part). On most days it's only open to Muslims, but sometimes they'll open it to the public, but you don't know when, so it's interesting...Hopefully we'll get to go up there!
Tag--this one's for you. This is one of the firestations for Jerusalem. Yah, it's sweet.
Me and Amie outside the area for the Garden Tomb. It's awesome b/c the streets are so busy and crazy, but the Garden Tomb park is so peaceful and spiritual.
Me, Caitlin, and Amie at the Garden Tomb. It's such an awesome place.
We're so blessed that we know this! I loved this day!

This is the separation wall that the Israeli government is building to keep Israelis in and Palestinians out of Jerusalem. It was a shock to most of us. It's really sad to me that good people's lives are being completely turned upside down in this whole conflict...
Me, my roommate Amie, and our friend katie at Samuel's tomb. I think this site is up for controversy, as most are, but it was pretty cool anyway. They have ruins all around it. We climbed to the roof and got a good view of all Jerusalem
Me and Amie with the Dome of the Rock in the background. This was on our field trip today all around Jerusalem to get a feel for the geography. This particular pic was taken at the 7 arches hotel. It was cool.
Um, can we say HIGHLIGHT?

Today me and two of my roommates (Lauren and Christianne) walked the Old City wall. It was way cool to be at the top and see the Old City from an aerial view! It was way fun!
One of the views from the wall! Isn't it amazing?
Me at the Garden of Gethsemane. We went as a big group on Sunday, but we all kind of went our own ways and had personal reflecting time. It was so awesome. I love it here--the experiences are amazing, and I often look around and just can't believe that I get to have this opportunity!

Engagement and Jerusalem!

The view from our balcony. I'm so blessed that this is what I wake up to every morning...

Just getting off the long plane ride! I made it!

Nathan and I re-enacting our engagement right after it happened! I was still
in shock!
